The Colorado Department of Natural Resources is pleased to present the Colorado Geological Survey Resource Series 42, Geology and Mienral Resources of Lake County, Colorado. Its purpose is to describe the geological setting and the various mineral deposits of Lake County. The report on this CD-ROM discusses known occurrences of preious and base metal deposits, molybdenum deposits, and industrial mineral and construction material occurrences. The CD-ROM also contains a single 1:50,000 scale geological map and a digital elevation model base map of the county and surrounding area. James A. Cappa and Paul J. Bartos wrote this report in 2001 and 2002. The objective of this publication is to provide geological information to resource developers, government planners, and interested citizens.
